New York Denim Days Festival Highlights to Include a Kid’s Fashion Show
New York Denim Days (June 8/9), the denim and buying targeted-day festival, will characteristic a numerous mix of activations, manufacturers, and collaborations designed to focus on the distinct and widely wide-spread nature of indigo.

+ Rare Sneaker Exhibit

@Just4kicksdaily will showcase its uncommon collection of footwear and bring a group of sneaker customizers collectively. Visit with famed customizers @bymalcolmgarret and @ceezemc, who could be on-website online showing their paintings and to be had to take orders. Colchester and Vans will be available to buy. Buyers could be presented with indigo dye their new sneakers with Sayaka, the Brooklyn-based indigo dyer, whilst supplies remaining.

Anna Weber, an artist and denim fashion designer, can be showcasing her brand new prevent-motion artwork created mainly for Denim Days Festival. Her series of thread artwork previously featured in Sourcing Journal will also be on display at New York Denim Days.
Artist Shya Beth, known as The Denim Rider, will display a portion of her 18 life-length equine sculptures using recycled denim & Styrofoam because of the primary media, with many smaller equine sculptures available for buy as well as different denim-inspired accessories and décor. This showcase becomes designed to raise awareness of the struggles horses face today, and proceeds from the purchases will benefit horse charities.

Students from the High School of Fashion Industries will participate in a layout contest and fashion display of this semester’s finest works. Each scholar re-purposed a denim jacket and could unveil their creation at Denim Days.
